What do we need to fix to make our democracy work better?

Now that we have gotten rid of Trump and his blatant attacks on democracy, it is time to begin addressing the many other threats to democracy that continue to exist in the United States.   These problems are primarily institutional.  Institutions like the Electoral College and an unrepresentative Senate, along with practices like gerrymandering and the filibuster are undermining American democracy and allowing a minority of Republicans and their monied backers to frustrate the will of the majority of Americans.
