July 23, 2016 by David Dehlendorf

Today the San Juan County Democrats voted to endorse Jay Inslee in his race for reelection as governor of the State of Washington in the August 2, 2016 primary.

We also voted today to endorse Rick Larsen in his bid for reelection as U.S. Representative from Washington’s 2nd Congressional District in which San Juan County resides.

Previously we endorsed Patty Murray for U.S. Senator, Kevin Ranker for State Senator from the 40th Legislative District, and Kris Lytton and Jeff Morris for State Representatives from the 40th Legislative District.

For information on other local and state races and ballot measures, voters of San Juan County are encouraged to consult:

You should have received your mail-in ballot last week. Whatever you do, be sure to vote on August 2.

It is a disgrace that the San Juan County Democrats refused to endorse Hilary Clinton as the party’s candidate for President. Obviously, this was due to the dominance of the “Bernie or Bust” delegates. So myopic and short-sighted! And, of course, this petulant behavior is being repeated now at the Convention in Phillie with the childish and boorish catcalls and booing by delegates of similar ilk. What a demonstration of maturity and intelligence!
